March is a great month to have a birthday. Spring begins, birds chirp, flowers bloom...it's my favorite time of year. My mom's birthday is the day before mine...and the first day of spring lands on one of our birthdays. This card makes me think of this time of year. It's February Card Club card #2.

Card Club attendees had fun making this card and gave the NEW Fern Silky Crush Ribbon rave reviews. We used the Charming Gardeners stamp set and a variety of AMuse Studio cardstocks (grass gingham, vanilla, fern and sage).

All Card Club cards are offered as "kits" afterwards. Each kit contains all the cut cardstock, stamped images, embellishments, and an envelope. The instructions include a photo and detailed supply list - so you can easily complete this card and recreate it many more times. My card kits are $3.50 each plus shipping (discounted for my AMuse team members). Feel free to contact me to order a kit or get a list of available kits.
I just love butterflies! This is a quick Thank You card using the new AMuse Studio patterned Venetian cardstock (this luscious yellow is Lido). It's February Card Club card #1.

Inks used: Bellini on butterfly, Rialto on words, and Titian on branch. The background cardstock is quickly becoming one of my favorites...cocoa. Add some Papaya ribbon and 3D Foam Adhesive and you have a card.

If you know me, you have probably realized I have trouble using just one stamp set...I love to mix them up. For this card I used: Beautiful Botanicals2, Let Freedom Ring and Papillon.
Just wanted to pop in and say Merry Christmas and leave you a little gift from me.
My new blog: Ginger's Crafty Detours. It's where I'll be posting everything else (that's not AMuse Studio related). My first post on it is a link to a giveaway of Christmas loot from Melissa. My second post is a card that I created the week or so before TAC closed in August 2011. Here's a sneak peek:
I want to share with you the two cards my customers & friends made during our Card Club get together in November. Those who aren't local get a kit mailed to them (stamped, cut, ready to finish & assemble). I have a couple of kits leftover, if you're interested, just let me know; $10.28 via paypal (includes parts, bling, envelopes and shipping).

Since my name is Ginger - I'm partial to gingerbreads. The first card uses the following supplies:
gingerbread guy: g-man die, cocoa cardstock, white signo uni-ball gel pen, onyx twinkle stickers, sugar pearl stickers.
Some days hot, some as cold as the middle of winter. I am thankful the summer storms have finally passed! I've been working on Christmas cards (my favorite time of year). Some parts of the country have had snow...mine is just on cards (so far).

I love the Snow Crystals stamp set and have used it for a couple of cards. The first card is using Navy & Sugar (white) cardstock, along with Blueberry, Cobalt and Navy ink pads. Some of the snowflakes are stamped off...which creates a lighter one. Then I added some Sky Blue Twinkle Stickers and two brads. The brads started out white...I needed blue for the card, so I colored them with my B37 (Antwerp Blue) Copic marker. Add a few pop-dots and voila...a quick & easy card.

You can buy all the goodies to make this card on my website (link on the right) or here. Look for more Snow Crystals cards making an appearance soon.
There were some last minute changes for the September Card Club. I wanted to introduce my NEW stamping stuff right away to my friends and customers. They loved it. Our Paper Angels Card Club makes two cards each month. Using new AMuse Studio supplies (mostly - didn't have enough background cardstock)...here's what we did.
They closed their doors this past week. I am blessed to have made many Angel friends over the years, and look forward to continued friendships. Here's some cards from back when.

Let me start with Hello:

This is my first Seminar swap in 2004...I made 150 of these. Yeah, I thought bad things about butterflies for a while after all that cutting. But, I still love butterflies, I just add them more easily to cards now.
It is sad that the economy took yet another WONDERFUL company. I have been blessed by all of my friendships made...and having the opportunity to present great products to my friends and customers. Card Clubs are a hit, and I plan to continue them.

Knowing that I'm hooked on Direct Sales...I knew I'd be back. Just wasn't sure when. But, a few days after TAC's announcement, I have researched and found my next venture. Yep, I'm still in stamps! A Muse Studios...you can find me here:
My time sure is flying lately. Here's a quick post with the two cards we made in July's new Card Club. The Card Club is a monthly get together in my basement studio. The best part is you don't have to be here to participate...I can make up a kit...and you pay the regular Card Club price ($5-10) plus actual postage. The kit includes pre-cut cardstock, stamped images, and instructions.
It's what I brought as a prop swap. I used TAC's Brighten My Day paper to cover the lid and stamped with one of my favorite background stamps. With a little pre-stick bling and pink organza...it made for a quick & cute project. Now I want to make a few more of them.
I had a great time seeing fellow Angels who have become such great friends. We had wonderful projects and make & takes. Here's a pic of myself and Holly:

I am currently working on cards for my first ever Card Club this coming Monday night. I haven't ironed out everything I plan to do...but so far know it'll be 2 cards. I'll post pics of the cards after Monday.
My how the time can fly! Days after my last post, my dad was admitted to the hospital, by his oncologist, instead of getting his scheduled treatments. Long story short: a couple of weeks later (after hospital, nursing home for rehab with expectations to return home, hospital again, then pneumonia); dad unexpectedly passed away. God blessed our family and spared us untold months of agony/treatments/stress/etc and took my dad to a better place. He fought a good fight. With his short stint in the nursing home, I know my dad wouldn't have been a model patient - at 71, he thought it was just for old people. ICU doc said his body was failing him...guessing cancer treatments weren't helping.

I am thankful I got a flight west the day I received "the" call. Made another trip back in November for services in WA & OR.

In November, I sat down to make sympathy cards for my family members - dad would have liked that. As I am getting my life back on track, I find myself needing to make more - my step-grandfather passed away a couple of weeks ago. Aside from the one for my grandmother, they will be exactly like these (why not, different side of family - and they are already designed). Supplies: With Sympathy stamp set (and a swirl I can't find right now - could be retired), Kraft, Brown, Ivory, Sydney kit, Scor-Pal, Crop-A-Dile, Hemingway ribbon & hardware, pop dots, scallop & round punches.

I truly know "we are blessed by the memories we have." My hope is that you take some time to make memories with your friends and family. We don't know how long we are able to be blessed to have them in our lives before we are only blessed by the memories we have.
She thought it was pretty. I wrote words of love on the back so people could read it to her if she wasn't having one of her better moments.

It's not a card, it's just like the wall hanging I have made in the past (one page out of the Tea Break Chipboard Book). I didn't make it a wall hanging because Grandma can't have stuff stuck on her walls. So this sits on the bookcase that is visible from her bed in the nursing home.

Stamp set: T-3371 Blossoms and Blessings
Paper: Emma (double sided)
Colored with Copic markers and a sparkle glitter pen
Inks: Memento black, Palette burnt umber & green
add pop-dots & ribbon and voila!

Gosh, I have hardly been in town since the last post. After TAC's Seminar, I was home a week, then headed off to Washington state and spent time with my dad - he is currently undergoing chemo & radiation for lung/spine cancer. I am so thankful I had the trip already planned so I could go to his first treatments with him. He is doing fairly well so far considering.

While in WA, I learned my grandmother now has Alzheimer's. So after a week of being at home, I took off for NE Montana to see her. I also incorporated my missed vacation and visited other friends & family. I am so glad I went...although grandma didn't know who I was, she knew I was a relative and still knows she has a granddaughter named Ginger...good enough for me! I love her soooo much & know it goes both ways.

After about 2 weeks at home and processing all that's going on with my family...I am out of town again. I figured I should spend some of my spare time in this hotel room to post on my blog. I brought a Copic coloring project. Sorry, my netbook doesn't have photo editing software on it. I may edit these after I return home, but in case that doesn't happen, I am posting.
Had a great time seeing friends, making new ones, playing with new stamps and getting the 2010-2011 catalog! This catalog is all about stampers!

A few catalog excitements:
1. TAC has partnered with Copic (yep, the marker company) to create coordinating sets of 12 Copic Sketch markers...we're calling them Caboodles. Along with our new Caboodles, TAC has coordinated cardstocks to match. You can get the cardstock in a set (6 colors, 2 sheets each) or individually in packs of 25. Here's my favorite colors in our new swatch book that TAC make for us.

2. Emma and Maggie - two new double-sided 12x12 cardstock packs with coordinating tags.

3. The Cinch - book binding at it's finest. Punch a couple holes or punch alot...you choose. I am getting mine as a half-priced item...and can't wait for it to arrive!
4. ATG 700 Tape gun! Everyone I've heard that uses this won't go back to their old adhesive.
5. And over 80 new stamps sets!!

Ok, now I must breathe...this catalog is just so exciting!!

On top of all the catalog has to offer (which was well worth my trip to Kansas)...I was honored during the awards banquet and received The Heart of The Angel Company award. What a wonderful surprise! That came with a tiara and free stamps. After settling back at my table...my name was called again...I was one of four to receive the Happiness Makers award (more free stamps). It felt like my birthday and Christmas all rolled into one.

My camera battery died just before receiving my tiara...I am glad so many others had cameras. Here's the first pic I've received from friends...it's of me & Mischelle Smith - TAC owner.

The background of the wall hanging didn't look good with the brown ink I chose that day...it blended right into the burgundy color. I prefer to not throw away things just because they didn't work...I believe "it's all fix-able."

Looking Back: Crystal and I took our first cruise together in November 2006. At that time, I made up a board book of our cruise. Today, I started a wall hanging, that will end up in a small easel (can't find it right now).

Looking Forward: I will be taking my next cruise with Crystal in the beginning of 2011...so exciting!!

I finally pulled out my Spellbinder Wizard Embossing and Die Cutting System and started playing. I'm so in love with the Flowers Impressabilities, I haven't touched any others yet. That's what I used for the background and flowers up top. I used the Reece cardstock pack and Brown cardstock. Ribbon is also Reece (in real life it matches). Flowers are from the Audrey Embellishment jar.

Yes, I'm addicted to the Antique Copper hardware. Everything has been distressed with Burnt Umber and/or Burnt Sienna Palette inks. Paper flowers are punched with the Extra Jumbo Flower Punch (1 1/4").

I cut each sheet of Chipboard (already comes with colored cardstock attached to both sides) in half. I used yellow for the front, and blue for the mat and the back. Inside has 3 1/2" x 5" ruled index cards cut in half.
While I began to put away the Reece cardstock - I realized it was the same colors of our kitchen. Hmmm, I love Reece and I am the one that picked the kitchen colors (coffee cafe style).

All of a sudden, an idea started forming. I love the realistic images in the Give Praise to Him set...but wasn't thinking they should be on a card this time. So, I trotted to the basement for something to put them on...and found a Tea Break chipboard book. I have made up a couple of these intact...but many more have been cut apart for other projects (all it takes is an exacto knife).

I started with the words...and a pre-made tag (they come in the Reece pack) it would fit on. The rest of the colors were chosen around the tag. The dark red colored cardstock made it stand out quite well. I used only one page of the Tea Break chipboard book...and glued down the red cardstock; then sanded the edges. My first stamping try was with my beloved Burnt Umber Palette ink pad** it failed - almost faded away! I ended up using Jardin Moss Palette ink...red + green looks brown (go figure).

Finishing touches: Antique Copper hardware, Pop-It dots, Reece coordinating ribbons, and the Stardust glitter pen. I love how this project turned out - and I'm a picky one - it's going on my wall! Here's a close up so you can see the detail in the bee and the dimensions of the project.

**Burnt Umber still made it on the project - I used it around the edges of the tag and the piece of circles cardstock on the top.
Today's Sneak Peek #3 is a hostess stamp - Twinkle in the Eye. I used TAC's exclusive Pop Rocks cardstock - I love this striped piece...but the white was too stark, so I distressed it with Palette Ballet Blue, Reflection Blue and Prussian Blue inks. Blue Breeze Kaleidacolor was used for the stamp on White Ultrasmooth cardstock...and I used a color duster and more Reflection Blue ink to add a little color to the snow and background. The flower & button are in the Audrey Embellishment jar & dark flower on bottom is punched out of Navy cardstock.

Here's a close up of the flower area - so you can get a better look at what I did:
Today was a little messier, since I changed colors of things (still have blue on my fingers), but I like how the final result came out. Isn't the little one just precious?!
