Calendars Are Fun!

I offered a Calendar Class and kits for my peeps far & wide. I had fun making these up...and have some 4x6 calendars left. If you're interested in a kit to stamp on your own - just let me know. Here's what I created for January:

And my idea for February:

$10.75 kit includes (add $5.35 for small flat rate box shipping):
* 12 month calendar (4x6 size needs to be cut/torn/etc)
* 12 4x6 pieces of Damask Shimmer cardstock
* 4 x 6 acrylic frame
* Instruction sheet of how I made my calendar to kick start your ideas
Handful of die cut shapes using solid shimmer cardstock
      (heart, snowflake, butterfly, and bird).

Whatever you decide to do with your calendar...have fun with it! I'm off to make one for my husband - he wants it for his desk at work.

Happy March! A great month for a birthday...

March is a great month to have a birthday. Spring begins, birds chirp, flowers bloom...it's my favorite time of year. My mom's birthday is the day before mine...and the first day of spring lands on one of our birthdays. This card makes me think of this time of year. It's February Card Club card #2.

Card Club attendees had fun making this card and gave the NEW Fern Silky Crush Ribbon rave reviews. We used the Charming Gardeners stamp set and a variety of AMuse Studio cardstocks (grass gingham, vanilla, fern and sage).

All Card Club cards are offered as "kits" afterwards. Each kit contains all the cut cardstock, stamped images, embellishments, and an envelope. The instructions include a photo and detailed supply list - so you can easily complete this card and recreate it many more times. My card kits are $3.50 each plus shipping (discounted for my AMuse team members). Feel free to contact me to order a kit or get a list of available kits.

Butterfly Thank You Card

I just love butterflies! This is a quick Thank You card using the new AMuse Studio patterned Venetian cardstock (this luscious yellow is Lido). It's February Card Club card #1.

Inks used: Bellini on butterfly, Rialto on words, and Titian on branch. The background cardstock is quickly becoming one of my favorites...cocoa. Add some Papaya ribbon and 3D Foam Adhesive and you have a card.

If you know me, you have probably realized I have trouble using just one stamp set...I love to mix them up. For this card I used: Beautiful Botanicals2, Let Freedom Ring and Papillon.

All supplies can be ordered on my AMuse Studio Website.

There are so many things I love about the "Come Fly With Me" stamp set...so you'll probably see another project in the future. Here's my first card. You can find more card ideas for this set on pages 92 & 93 of our catalog (which you can find online - I love that).

I created this card for my Catalog Open House. It will be duplicated for upcoming stamping parties. It uses the new Seattle cardstock along with the Petite Polka Dot cardstock which is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

Items used:
Stamps - Come Fly With Me
Cardstock - Seattle, Latte woodgrain, Vanilla, Grass, Grass Petite Polka Dot
Ink - Seattle, French Roast
Other - Vanilla Twine, French Roast buttons, Mini glue dot, 3D Foam adhesive, Tombow Diamond adhesive

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Christmas is my favorite time of year! Just wanted to pop in and say Merry Christmas and leave you a little gift from me.

My new blog: Ginger's Crafty Detours. It's where I'll be posting everything else (that's not AMuse Studio related). My first post on it is a link to a giveaway of Christmas loot from Melissa. My second post is a card that I created the week or so before TAC closed in August 2011. Here's a sneak peek:

AMuse Studio's Creative Consultant's December Blog Hop

This is my first time participating in an AMuse Studio Creative Consultant blog hop. I'm glad you stopped by! The theme this month is "Anything Goes"...I figured I could handle that. lol

I want to share with you the two cards my customers & friends made during our Card Club get together in November. Those who aren't local get a kit mailed to them (stamped, cut, ready to finish & assemble). I have a couple of kits leftover, if you're interested, just let me know; $10.28 via paypal (includes parts, bling, envelopes and shipping).

Since my name is Ginger - I'm partial to gingerbreads. The first card uses the following supplies:
gingerbread guy: g-man die, cocoa cardstock, white signo uni-ball gel pen, onyx twinkle stickers, sugar pearl stickers.
cardstocks: vanilla, french roast woodgrain, 'twas the night before Christmas
stamp set: sentiment is from the "Celebrate the Season" stamp set - one I just LOVE!
other items: french roast & white baker's twine, french roast ink, 3D foam adhesive (on g-man)

In the spirit of keeping Christ in Christmas, we created this nativity card. This card uses these supplies:
cardstocks: navy, french roast gingham, winter sky
ink: navy
stamp set: Holy Night
other items: 3D foam adhesive (on light blue piece) and clear twinkle stickers

If you are participating in the Blog Hop...you should have come from Karen Crisp's blog and if not, then you should start from the beginning with Samantha's blog until you come to my blog. Now on to your next stop; Pamela Frederickson's blog.

Almost Cold Enough for Winter

We've had some crazy weather here in Maryland. Some days hot, some as cold as the middle of winter. I am thankful the summer storms have finally passed! I've been working on Christmas cards (my favorite time of year). Some parts of the country have had snow...mine is just on cards (so far).

I love the Snow Crystals stamp set and have used it for a couple of cards. The first card is using Navy & Sugar (white) cardstock, along with Blueberry, Cobalt and Navy ink pads. Some of the snowflakes are stamped off...which creates a lighter one. Then I added some Sky Blue Twinkle Stickers and two brads. The brads started out white...I needed blue for the card, so I colored them with my B37 (Antwerp Blue) Copic marker. Add a few pop-dots and voila...a quick & easy card.

You can buy all the goodies to make this card on my website (link on the right) or here. Look for more Snow Crystals cards making an appearance soon.

September Card Club cards

There were some last minute changes for the September Card Club. I wanted to introduce my NEW stamping stuff right away to my friends and customers. They loved it. Our Paper Angels Card Club makes two cards each month. Using new AMuse Studio supplies (mostly - didn't have enough background cardstock)...here's what we did.

Happy Birthday card with AMuse Studio toys!

YAY, I received my demonstrator kit today! I'm so excited...I just love new toys. So, I had to stop what I was doing and touch everything in the box. Then I just had to make a card. Here's my first one using my new AMuse Studio goodies.

Supplies used:
Stamps: Beautiful Botanicals, Life is a Song, Birthday Greetings
Paper & Ink: Sage solid cardstock, Sage Gingham cardstock, Fern pigment ink, French Roast pigment ink Copics: Y17, YG23

Fond Farewell Blog Hop

After eight and half years with The Angel Company...it's time to reflect a bid a fond farewell to TAC, the company. They closed their doors this past week. I am blessed to have made many Angel friends over the years, and look forward to continued friendships. Here's some cards from back when.

Let me start with Hello:
This is my first Seminar swap in 2004...I made 150 of these. Yeah, I thought bad things about butterflies for a while after all that cutting. But, I still love butterflies, I just add them more easily to cards now.
I started TAC March 2004...and "All Things of Nature" was one of my free sets.
I have soooo many favorite stamp sets, "Happy Trails" is just one of them.
TAC, staff and fellow Angels have brought me such JOY over the years!
I just have to say THANK YOU to all!
One of my 2006 Contest entries...I didn't win, but this card was a huge hit with my hostesses and customers. I can't even count how many times we made this card.
TAC and I share the same birthday month: March. And at one Seminar my birthday was the closest and I won FREE stamps!
Lighthouses are a passion of mine...and this card came to be right after a party the hostess held at my house. I was trying to tell her other things to do with a brayer...and voila, one more card. Wrap rubberbands around a brayer, ink up, and go to town. This is on glossy cardstock.
"Remember when"...I have so many fond memories of TAC, Seminars, Winter Retreats, Angel friends. I'm so glad I'm a camera junkie...I have lots of pictures.
Little by little, day by day...that's how my TAC life grew. I feel I'm saying goodbye to a treasured friend.

New Directions

The Angel Company has been a large part of my life over the past 8.5 years. It is sad that the economy took yet another WONDERFUL company. I have been blessed by all of my friendships made...and having the opportunity to present great products to my friends and customers. Card Clubs are a hit, and I plan to continue them.

Knowing that I'm hooked on Direct Sales...I knew I'd be back. Just wasn't sure when. But, a few days after TAC's announcement, I have researched and found my next venture. Yep, I'm still in stamps! A Muse Studios...you can find  me here:

A little Christmas in July

My time sure is flying lately. Here's a quick post with the two cards we made in July's new Card Club. The Card Club is a monthly get together in my basement studio. The best part is you don't have to be here to participate...I can make up a kit...and you pay the regular Card Club price ($5-10) plus actual postage. The kit includes pre-cut cardstock, stamped images, and instructions.

TAC's Seminar in June 2011 was fun!

June 2011 - Wichita, KS - TAC's Annual Seminar - Fun Factor 10/10!
The jar above contains 28 yards of ribbon...like a bucket of fun. It's what I brought as a prop swap. I used TAC's Brighten My Day paper to cover the lid and stamped with one of my favorite background stamps. With a little pre-stick bling and pink organza...it made for a quick & cute project. Now I want to make a few more of them.

I had a great time seeing fellow Angels who have become such great friends. We had wonderful projects and make & takes. Here's a pic of myself and Holly:

And one of my roomie, Beth; and our dear friend, Diana:

Friendships are a blessing for those Angels who attend TAC functions. The more I get to know about these two gals (Christine and Debra) the more I love them.

Angela is such a sweetheart...she was shocked to learn the card she created made the front cover of our new catalog:

I have a pic of myself and Mischelle Smith, owner of TAC from almost every function...can't believe I missed out this year. So, here's one of just her...she's beautiful inside & out.

Our hotel room had a great view. I made it back into the room just in time to see God's wonderful sunset each night.

I am currently working on cards for my first ever Card Club this coming Monday night. I haven't ironed out everything I plan to do...but so far know it'll be 2 cards. I'll post pics of the cards after Monday.
